These Inventors Regret Their Inventions.
First we have pop up ads with Ethan Zuckerman. So Ethan came up with these in the early days of the internet. He wanted to come up with an easy idea to make money. But today he's an internet activist and wants companies to ditch the popup.
Next we have Tim Berners Lee. He created the World Wide Web. Which is different from the internet. The internet is the network of computers, and the web is the system for accessing the internet. He doesn't regret the whole web, cuz the internet has mostly made humanity better. It's just the misinformation, hate, and spying.
Next we have Geoffrey Hinton. He made the first neural network in 2012. Known as the "Godfather of AI", he quit Google to freely speak about the dangers of AI.
I still have hope AI is mostly a good thing, but...
