Ideally about 4-9 days after soaking your seeds should be starting to break the surface and emerge!
The first leaves you will see are called cotyledons or seed leaves these are smooth and have smooth margins with no serrations
True leaves are the ones that look like the normal leaves that the plant will continue to produce
Light For Your Seedling
Seedlings should be receiving about 18 hours of light (or 6hr of continual darkness) daily and you do not need to use high output lights for this stage of growth.
Irrigating Seedlings
Goal is consistent moisture. Too much and too little water both can cause negative impacts on your seedlings. To avoid excessive water place seedlings on a tray or grate that allows for good drainage.
