The ‘Wellbeing Photography Programme’ is designed to help participants improve their wellbeing and build resilience through motivation and positive reinforcements, and creative and engaging photographic activities.
Through blended learning, the programme is accessible, engaging and interactive. No photography experience is required, nor is a digital camera. Participants only need a smartphone and a willingness to learn photography and the art of wellbeing. The programme incorporates the NHS five steps to positive wellbeing - Connect, Be Active, Keep Learning, Give & Take Notice.
The programme harnesses the enjoyment that photography brings and connects us with others through engagement. Participants will learn and develop creative and technical skills to take great photographs, and through capturing images and creative tasks it will lead to physical activity.
The programme is about being fully present in the moment and using photography as a distraction, coping mechanism and catalyst for improving your quality of life. It helps participants develop techniques for building resilience, confidence and self-esteem, and can be used as a form of stress relief and to improve wellbeing.
