In this video I repair a Makita Belt Sander model 9401. One of the best belt sanders ever made. This tool has had a long hard life and needs a few fresh parts to continue working at its best.
I replace the rear drive roller, re-grease and clean the front roller, replace the low-friction pad, and service the motor bearings.
The resulting tool repair makes this Makita belt sander sing again!
You can do a similar tool repair to other belt sanders, including sanders from DeWalt, Ryobi, Hitachi, Milwaukee, Bosch, Black and Decker, Stanley, Hikoki, and many more.
