Artisans on Bilu Kyun in Myanmar make rubber bands using traditional techniques. Workers extract latex from rubber trees then dye the rubber to give it a colorful hue. It's then stretched out to dry before being sliced into the tiny shapes we are familiar with. The artisans on Bilu Kyun are also known for coconut doormats, bamboo hats, and slate chalkboards.
