► The new NHS Nightingale hospital at London's ExCel centre is expected to take its first coronavirus patients this week, despite plans for it only being announced a fortnight ago. The facility has 4,000 beds and will take the pressure off already stretched hospitals.
►Officials say its a remarkable achievement in such a short space of time, and there are now plans to create other makeshift sites elsewhere in the UK.
