Can police run your 🔫's serial number? It's a tricky situation with a lot of nuances. They can seize it in most states if you tell them you have it on you under "officer safety." However, they cannot lengthen the traffic stop past the original reason for the traffic stop if you aren't doing anything illegal (i.e. can legally own the 🔫).
