Interpreting for the European Court of Justice is different from the other kinds of conference interpreting. The subject matter is different, the setting is different, the working conditions are different and the interpreters take part in discussions that have direct bearing on the lives sometimes of individual people. This interview with Susan Pawlak, interpreter at the European Court of Justice, was recorded on 15 November 2012 at the Studentfoire in Luxembourg.
