Traditional physician training provides a good background in the art and science of medicine but very little formal training is provided as to the business aspects of health care. Physicians are left to "learn on the job". The goal of this activity is to provide knowledge in the leadership and management aspects of healthcare so that physicians can acquire the skills necessary for effective leadership in the complex environment of the healthcare industry.
