Comments:
If the emperor went on campaigns or longer journeys outside of Rome, Fortuna Redux was invoked as a provident and protective goddess for safe home and return to the city. This event also confirmed Rome as the center of imperial power. Fortuna Redux was a very common manifestation of Fortuna depicted on imperial coinage. For example, coinage with Fortuna Redux in AD 211 commemorated of the return of Caracalla and Geta from Britannia.
