Getting started with gouache seems easy enough until you try it yourself. Don’t worry, I know how you feel, which is why I made a video that covers the basics of painting with gouache from the perspective of someone who’s a beginner herself. Basically Gouache for Beginners by a Beginner.

Bonus tip: I forgot to speak about PAPER because it’s less important than with other media. If in doubt use watercolor paper, but it works on many different types of slightly thicker paper when used more thickly. As always, the thinner the paper, the more warpage you’re going to encounter.
