Digital and bio metric identities, internet-of-things, wearable, and the app economy digitally facilitate real-world activity, thereby presenting various opportunities and threats. While businesses and governance frameworks are being redefined by access to data and analytical tools, machine learning and deep learning, facilitated by data crunching algorithms, can also be coded to discriminate, or imbibe individual prejudices. How do we address the potential for worsening inequalities, bias, and safety in the age of AI? How does this impact politics and influence societies?
