Indian Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Abu Jundal or sayed Zabiuddin Ansari has been sentenced for life by Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court in the 2006 Aurangabad Arms Haul case. Six others along with Jundal have been sentenced for life, two have been sentenced for 14 years and the rest three sentenced to eight years in jail.
The judgment comes just a week after all the militants were held guilty by the court. It had also accepted that Jundal and others wanted to terrorise people and target leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi among others.
