As part of the #HumanRightsWeek2021, The Swedish Embassy, the UNFCCC-IGES Regional Collaboration Centre for Asia and the Pacific based in Bangkok (RCC Bangkok), UNDP and youth organizations from the region opened the floor for youth to exchange experience through #climateaction and #COP26 on Wednesday 8 December 2021.
Updates on the Youth Empowerment in Climate Action Platform (YECAP) were shared, with more opportunities for young climate leaders to network and continue their journeys in Asia and the Pacific.
YECAP will address the challenges of young people being left out of the decision-making processes which impact their future by offering them a space to implement ideas and action plans; ensuring the support for them to find the innovations and solutions; and achieving the key milestones in 2022 through the YECAP Fellowship Programme.
