Vaginal lacerations frequently occur following a spontaneous vaginal delivery. A 2nd degree laceration is frequently discovered upon inspection of the vagina/perineum after delivery. In this video, Family Physicians demonstrate how to repair a 2nd degree vaginal laceration using a beef tongue model. They review necessary equipment/supplies, and demonstrate appropriate suture technique to completely repair the laceration.
