I've been successfully using my CR-10s5 to 3d print large parts for a few years now but I've started doing something different that's drastically sped up the print process and cut down on the amount of materials used. This works great for costume parts that will be reinforced before wearing, which is something I do with most of my costume parts. I think this could be useful for other large items as well.
