My turtle had shell rot at the time of filming. I've been getting a lot of questions in the comments about how to fix it. From my research I found a treatment that worked. First scrape the bad spots off, paint on iodine to clean, then rinse. Then coat shell in petroleum jelly and leave it on. After 2 or 3 days, do it again. Continue until he is healed.

After posting this video I was informed this is actually a Ouachita map turtle. Youtube won't let me change the title. However the care and habitat is the same for either type of turtle.
