The video shows how to reset and lock the disengaged tension ring on an already used Dual Mass FlyWheel (DMF) using the Schaeffler Special Tool. This procedure must be carried out if the transmission has been removed from the engine, or if only the double clutch has been replaced. If the tension ring is not reset and locked, damage to the DMF may occur when the transmission is installed. New DMFs from LuK are delivered with a locked tension ring.
