A new study, by Megan Niederwerder in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University is examining the risk of African swine fever virus (ASFV), and the ability of the disease to spread through swine feed and imported feed ingredients. The study hopes to discover strategies to mitigate the potential harm to pork producers from this highly contagious and costly animal disease.
