I was born in the late 80s so I was only 10 in 98, so if you do the math I kinda missed it by a few years. I did play System Shock 2 a few years back trying to catch up on games I missed over the years. I did attempt to play the original System Shock, Nightdive did a nice rerelease of the original, so I tried that one. They did an amazing job updating that game, but even with the added polish, the game is still very hard to get into. When I heard Nightdive was going to do a full blown remake of the original I was shocked. If you were following the franchise, there has been a fan attempt to do this for years, from what I understand, that original project was picked up by Nightdive and we are actually going to see this game ship!
