It has barely been a year and we have new emperor tamarin babies again! Two individuals have recently arrived to join their older siblings and they have been welcomed with great joy into the Loro Parque family. This is a great example of the optimal welfare conditions of the animals here at the Park, and it also shows that this couple is very well established after breeding for the first time last year. Did you know that it is the father in this species of mammals who takes the responsibility for carrying the babies when they are not being breastfed, thus helping the mother with the upbringing?
