In this sermon, the first of two sermons in which he presents Jesus’s mandate for Christians, the Christian’s responsibility for living life here and now, Dr. Michael Youssef preaches from Matthew 5:13, which is Jesus’s mandate to believers to be the salt of the Earth. In this context, Dr. Youssef encourages us to realize our power and value in Christ and, like salt, be retardants of decay and rottenness in our culture. And with the 2024 presidential election looming, he implores believers to use their right and privilege, and their influence as salt, to vote in this context and work to impact the culture for future generations.
