In the past year or so, Der has really gotten into film photography and collecting old/vintage cameras. He recently acquired a pretty massive collection of cameras which included some really old camcorders as well. Some were basically brand new old stock that were never used. For this year's Japanese Classic Car Show in Long Beach, we thought it'd be cool to be a little more "period-correct" in our filming and use an JVC Compact VHS camcorder to give you guys an idea of what technology was like back then and how a car show would look back in the mid-90s had it been filmed Vlog-style. Things definitely look interesting and it'll make you appreciate modern tech and all the good gear that we have in 2019. It was fun nonetheless, and really cool to take a leap back in time. JCCS was the perfect event to try this camera out as it showcases some great cars from yesteryear built in modern times.
