This is a first test with a vapor bath for PLA smoothing, using dichloromethane aka methylenechloride. As you can see, the base of the model gets affected by the chemical easily. So better results might be had with a better setup. DISCLAIMER: these are highly dangerous chemicals, with toxic gasses. Do not mess with these if you do not know what you are doing! Inform yourself and ask your vendor for information regarding safety and usage! Do not try this unless you know the risks involved and have taken necessary precautions.
