We’re putting some of the most iconic microphones to the test! Experience the differences between the Neumann U87 Ai, Neumann U67 Vintage, Neumann U67 Modern, and Flea M251 on drums. Each microphone is also paired with spot microphones on the kick and snare drums. The kick drum features a Telefunken M82 with the Kick EQ engaged, while a Telefunken M80 Short captures the snare drum. No processing has been applied; what you’re hearing is the raw recording captured using an Apollo X8 audio interface and a Unison API 212L Preamp.
Drummer Edoardo Bolamperti
Recorded in collaboration with Umbriel Studio.
