Accused in Swati Maliwal assault case, Bibhav Kumar was produced at Tis Hazari court on May 24. AAP Legal Cell Head and Bibhav Kumar’s representative in the court Sanjeev Nasair said that Delhi Police has asked for 4 days of custody remand of Bibhav Kumar. Magistrate reserved the orders for May 28, he added.
Sanjeev Nasair said, “Delhi Police has asked for 4 days of Judicial custody of Bibhav Kumar. We objected it on the ground that the arrest itself is illegal, because they did not comply with the notice of 41A. We submitted an application under section 165, asking them to provide the list of all the searches and ceases to the magistrate. The magistrate has reserved the orders for 28 (May).”
