Hi. Matt with etrailer, and today we're going to be talking about the Kuat Grip Ski and Snowboard Carrier on top of the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The Kuat Grip 4 is one of our more premium carriers, but it's very user-friendly. It's capable of holding up the four skis or two boards. But if that's not enough for you, we also have the Kuat Grip 6, which is capable of holding up the six skis and four boards. If you take a closer look at more of the features of the Kuat Grip, we're gonna take out our skis.

So the first thing we'll look at is this lock on the side. It's just going to be another security feature, and that's gonna give us that ability to unlock this. And what that's locking is our handle, just preventing us from opening it up, or preventing it from opening up in mid-transit. So if I just switch that over, you'll notice we have the ability to open this up now. And how this is gonna function too, is when you push, you'll notice you'll hear three clicks when I pull this down.

That's just giving us the option to lock it into three different stages. And what those stages are doing is locking to different size skis or snowboards. So now that I have that one open, I can open up my other one. Now, when we're trying to reach for our skis, you'll notice it's kind of hard to reach, especially if you're someone shorter. So if you look over here, we're gonna have these little tabs on either side.

And all you have to do is pull it, and then pull the whole carrier to here. And now, it's a lot closer to you, and all you have to do is lift up and take them out. This rubber padding here is also gonna help prevent our skis and boards from any damage. And it's also gonna help things keep locked in place, so you don't have your skis and boards colliding with one another. The Kuat Grip uses a universal mount.

It mounts in by the strap that plugs into this clip. And back here, we're even have the same key system as the one up above. Now, if you don't want to use a strap, you can buy a mount kit that plugs into a T-track. As far as size and weight, they're made of aluminum, so they are very lightweight. And on top of that, they're gonna be corrosive resistant. So that's great for when you have all your wet snowboards and skis. It's gonna be less likely the rust. And for the size, it only takes up half our crossbar space. And on top of that, they only take up five and a half extra inches on top of our roof rack. Overall, I think this is gonna be a great premium option, especially if you're looking for something that's really easy to use overall, and if you don't wanna deal with the extra space that a roof box takes up, or if you don't wanna deal with trying to store a roof box. But that was a look at the Kuat Grip 4 on top of the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
