A Little Wisdom Helps You Become Smarter !
Preparation in advance
- Treatment of road subgrade :
Ensure that the subgrade is flat, solid, free of debris and loose soil. For weak subgrades, reinforcement treatments such as replacement and compaction should be carried out to prevent uneven settlement of the road in the later stage !
- Material preparation :
Select appropriate raw materials such as cement, sand and gravel according to the design requirements. The cement should have qualified strength and soundness, and the sand and gravel should be clean, with good gradation, and the indexes such as mud content should meet the requirements !
- Formwork installation :
The formwork should be installed firmly, straight and flat, with tight joints and no leakage of slurry. Its height is consistent with the thickness of the road surface, and it is firmly supported to prevent deformation or displacement during the concrete pouring process !
Concrete pouring
- Quality control of concrete :
The concrete transported by the mixer truck should meet the requirements of the designed mix ratio, and the slump and other indexes should be appropriate. Before pouring, check the workability and uniformity of the concrete, and it is strictly prohibited to add water to the concrete !
- Pouring method :
When the mixer truck unloads directly, pay attention to the uniformity and continuity of unloading, and avoid concrete accumulation or segregation. Start from one end of the road and move forward in a certain order and speed to ensure that the concrete covers the entire width of the road surface !
- Vibration compaction :
Use a combination of internal vibrators and plate vibrators for vibration. The vibration time should be appropriate. It is advisable that the concrete no longer sinks, slurry appears on the surface and no bubbles emerge. Prevent uneven density of the concrete caused by excessive or insufficient vibration !
- Expansion joint setting :
Set expansion joints according to the design requirements. Generally, one expansion joint is set every 4 to 6 meters. The width of the joint should be uniform, the depth should meet the requirements, and the joint should be filled with joint filling materials such as asphalt hemp fiber to prevent cracks in the concrete due to temperature changes !
Later maintenance
- Covering for moisture preservation :
After the concrete pouring is completed, it should be covered with coverings such as plastic film and geotextile in time to keep the surface of the concrete moist and prevent the concrete surface from cracking due to too rapid evaporation of water !
- Watering for maintenance :
On the basis of covering for moisture preservation, water the concrete for maintenance in a timely manner according to the weather conditions and the hardening situation of the concrete. The maintenance time is generally not less than 7 days to ensure the normal growth of the concrete strength !
- Traffic control :
Before the concrete strength reaches the design requirements, vehicles and pedestrians are strictly prohibited from passing through. Set obvious no-entry signs to prevent the road surface from being damaged !
