I'm currently on holiday in the Isles of Scilly, and so I thought I'd take the opportunity to record a series of videos looking at aspects of the history of these fascinating islands.

There are intact entrance graves, bronze age settlements, iron age villages, medieval castles, tudor fortifications, A Napoleonic Garrison, shipwrecks galore and much much more.

I'm going to do my best to tell as mch of the history of this amazing island group as I can, but in the mean time here is me sitting on a Georgian 18lb gun with a stunning view behind me.
