In this video, you will learn how to wire and set up Eastron SDM120CTM Single-Phase Meter with a current transformer (CT). Step by step description is mentioned below for your reference.
SDM stands for Sub Distribution Meter
120 is our single-phase meter.
CT stands for current transformer and M is for the Modbus rs485 communication.
We start by inputting a voltage reference, this is to be supplied from a 1AMP fast blow fuse, the live line is inserted into terminal 4 and the neutral is inserted into terminal 3.
With the voltage reference connected, we now connect the current transformer the white wire is the S1 which inserts into terminal 1.
The black wire is the S2 which inserts into terminal 2.
Press and hold the button until set is displayed, then press and hold again until the CT values are shown, we now press the button until the desired rate is shown, in this case 200 as we are using a CT rated with a 200A input and 5A output.
Terminals 5,6 and 7 are pulsed outputs, terminals 8,9 and 10 are the Modbus connections.
