There are more than a hundred wooden buildings in the Rožnov open-air museum. The Wallachian Open Air Museum has been preserving a unique cultural heritage for more than a hundred years. The care for such a large number of old buildings made of wood is very demanding, and in fact it never ends. The restoration of a part of the buildings in the open-air museum was supported by a grant from EU funds under the project Cultural Heritage of the Javorníky and Beskydy Mountains. More than EUR 432 thousand were spent on the preservation of structures on both sides of the Czech-Slovak border.
