Malampuzha Dam is located 8 km from Palakkad town. It was built in 1955 and the garden was renovated recently. The main attractions are the suspension bridge, the cable car ride, Snack Park, Fish Aquarium, Boating, Toy train, Children Park, Garden, Rock Garden and Fantasy Park. There are several gardens, including one Japanese garden. The Yakshi statue of Kanayi Kunjiraman is also reputed even though the nudity of the structure is not approved by the conservative society of Kerala. Malampuzha Gardens and the Irrigation Dam tend to be the areas that attract the highest number of visitors. Apart from being perfect picnic spots.
