😲Your Landlord Doesn't Want you to read this Post
One of the main reasons first-time homebuyers do not buy a home is NOT because they don't qualify but a lot of times it's out of FEAR.
And sometimes the fears are justified so instead of letting the landlord take advantage of that let's address it head-on so that you are prepared and empowered!
Here are 5 really important questions first-time home buyers should ask before buying a home that will give you confidence in case something happens after you buy:
1. Is it better to put as much money down as I can or should I hold on to some cash and take a slightly higher payment and keep some money just in case something comes up?
2. Why is buying a home right now important to me?
3. What are the rents going for in the area for a similar home as the one I am interested in? This is good to know because if I decide to move I could rent my home out rather than be forced to sell.
4. How are the schools in this area? Even if schools are not important at the moment to me it could be in the future and if I ever decide to rent the home, it might be important to my tenants.
5. If I lose my job how long can I make the payments based on my savings?
And this is the most important thing to understand if you run into financial trouble you have more options as a homeowner than you do as a renter.
Hope this helps.
