Femoral Nerve is chief nerve of anterior thigh region. It origins from lumbar plexus and enters thigh behind the inguinal ligament.In thigh it divides to two branches namely anterior and posterior divisions.The anterior division supplies the Sartorius muscle and posterior division supplies Vastus medialis,Vastus intermedius,Vastus lateralis, Rectus femoris and Articularis genu. Further the nerve also gives various cutaneous branches like Medial cutaneos nerve of thigh, Lateral cutaneous nerve of thigh etc, articular branches and vascular branches.
