- Sean R. Roberts, Associate Professor in the Practice of International Affairs and Director of International Development Studies at Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University (GWU). Dr Roberts is anthropologist with 30 years of experience of studying the Uyghur people.
- Darren Byler, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Asian Studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Dr Byler has provided expert testimony on Uyghur human rights issues before the Canadian House of Commons.
- Ondřej Klimeš, Researcher at the Oriental Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Dr Klimeš is expert in contemporary Xinjiang and China politics with focus on ethnic policy, ideology and propaganda.
