Herbert Weinstein is accused of killing his wife and making it look like suicide. He is pleading insanity as a defense, supported by PET and SCR scans of his brain activity. The District Attorney wants to exclude this evidence, arguing that the technology is not reliable. The court must determine if this evidence is admissible and if the somatic marker theory can also be used.
