Heman Bekele, a 15-year-old from Annandale, VA, originally from Ethiopia, has been named TIME Magazine’s 2024 Kid of the Year. Heman is developing a groundbreaking soap that could transform skin cancer treatment by offering an accessible and affordable way to deliver medication, including for melanoma. "It’s absolutely incredible to think that one day my bar of soap will be able to make a direct impact on somebody else’s life," Heman shared.
