Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan explained how Singapore helped with international efforts to fight COVID-19. These include support for the COVAX (COVID-19 Vaccine Global Access) Facility, founding and co-chairing the Friends of COVAX Facility group and contributing US$5 million to help low-income countries access vaccines through COVAX.
He was speaking at the Committee of Supply debates on 1 March 2021.
