All New 2025 Suzuki e-Vitara - Best Budget AWD Electric SUV Interior & Exterior






Suzuki Motor Corporation has introduced its inaugural
battery electric vehicle (BEV), the eVITARA, at an event in
Milan. Production is set to commence at the Suzuki Motor
Gujarat facility in India in spring 2025, with sales anticipated
to launch in various markets, including Europe, India, and
Japan, around summer 2025.
The eVITARA is built on the "eVX" concept, which was
introduced at the 2023 Auto Expo in India and showcased
at the JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW in October 2023. This marks
Suzuki's first global strategic battery electric vehicle (BEV)
model.
The eVITARA's design theme, "High-Tech & Adventure,"
merges the sleek aesthetics of a battery electric vehicle
with the robust appeal of an SUV, suggesting a spirit of
exploration. Its exterior boasts a striking appearance with
large-diameter tires and an extended wheelbase. Inside,
the vehicle features an integrated display with advanced
functionalities, complemented by ruggedly textured panels
and a center console that embody the adventurous theme.
The eVITARA's battery electric vehicle (BEV) powertrain
includes an efficient eAxle system, which combines the
motor and inverter, alongside lithium iron phosphate
batteries that prioritize safety and reliability. This setup
allows for smooth acceleration from a standstill and
enhances power during overtaking, delivering strong
performance across both low and high speeds.
The eVITARA is equipped with two independent electric
axles-one in the front and one in the rearutilizing
Suzuki's "ALLGRIP-e" technology, an advanced electric
four-wheel drive system. This setup leverages the
company's extensive experience in 4VWD technology to
deliver high performance and precise vehicle control with
exceptional responsiveness. Additionally, the system
features a "Trail" mode that aids in navigating challenging
terrain by applying braking force to slipping wheels and
distributing drive torque to the opposite tire, functioning
like a limited-slip differential (LSD).
The eVITARA introduces the new "HEARTECT-e" platform,
specifically designed for battery electric vehicles (BEVS).
This platform features a lightweight yet sturdy structure,
high-voltage protection, and a spacious interior achieved
through short overhangs. Its robust design eliminates the
need for stiffening side members, optimizing the space
available for battery cell storage.
