The Irish fiddler Denins Murphy was born in Gneeveguilla, County Kerry in 1910. He emigrated to Baltimore in 1942, where he played with The Baltimore Ceili band for many years. He returned to Ireland in 1964 and passed away in 1975. Denis wrote a number of tunes in his life but this is by far the most well known.
