GIANT PENGUIN known as the monster bird found in New Zealand. Giant penguin fossil
Today we look at the Human sized penguin fossil found in New Zealand. This Monstrous bird was discovered by Alan Tenyson.
They decided to name it the Kumimanu biceae after the morai word. This Penguin is nearly twice the size of the Emporer penguin the largest living species. It is however smaller than the largest extinct penguin the Palaeeudyptes klekowskii wich was 6 foot tall and up to 240 lbs. Keep in mind these are the biigest penguin fossils we have found so who knows if there were bigger ones roaming the earth. This gigantic penguin is around 60 million years old and the first of it's kind to be found. This mega penguin or extinct giant penguin disovered in new zealand helps to highlight that there is a lot about this world we dont know.
