Near Paganini Seamount, North Pacific Ocean, scientists recorded a Shortdorsal cutthroat eel (Synaphobranchus brevidorsalis). The specimen was estimated to be 127 centimeters long, the largest Shortdorsal (short-finned) cutthroat eel ever recorded.
