STORYLINE:
Female police officers in central Athens on Friday handed out leaflets regarding domestic violence and women's rights, as the country marked International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Takis Theodorikakos, Greece's Minister of Citizen Protection, said the police were there to help women who's safety was threatened.
