Dharma acid dyes Midnight Blue and Electric Violet
measured out 5 g of Electric Violet and dissolved in 500 mL
[3:27] Violet Prototyping
dyebath: 32 cups of water, 25 mL of Electric Violet acid dye, + 4 T white vinegar
Dyeing 400 g of yarn
Let the yarn sit for 5 minutes beofre romoving
[7:18] Violet Prototype 2
Same pot, 10 mL of electric violet + 200 g yarn
wait about 5 minutes before removing to prep for dip dyeing
[9:10] Preparing the yarn for dip dyeing
[10:18] Mixing the blue dye
Measure out 1.5 g Midnight Blue acid dye and dissolve in tap water, not worrying about the volume. All of this will be used for the dip dyeing of one batch.
[11:25] Dip dyeing into Midnight
16 cups of water + 1.5 g midnight blue dye (mixed above), 4 T white vinegar
[17:30] Washing the yarn
[18:33] Dyeing more yarn
