Plane Crash Claims Lives of Malawi's Vice President and Prominent Figures
The missing military aircraft carrying Malawi’s Vice President Saulos Chilima, former First Lady Shanil Dzimbiri, and seven others was found in Chikangawa Forest early Tuesday. The plane, en route to a funeral in Mzuzu, failed to land on Monday morning. Following the disappearance, President Lazarus Chakwera ordered a search and rescue operation. Tragically, all passengers on board have been reported dead. President Chakwera's Press Secretary announced that the President will soon address the nation.
