The misery for motorists is continuing as petrol saw its biggest daily jump in price in 17 years yesterday. The average cost of petrol now stands at just over 180p per litre and diesel is sitting at more than 186p. In some places fuel has already passed the £2 per litre mark and there are fears that could become common place this summer - meaning filling up a standard family car could cost £110.
It's another blow to people's finances. And the impact is more widespread than might be realised at first. One charity has told us it's putting services like theirs at risk, as Olly Dickinson reports.
