Undoubtedly the best known and most requested music from the Big Band era is "In The Mood," and nearly everyone alive is familiar with the Glenn Miller recording of his theme song, arranged by Jerry Grey that made the Glenn Miller Orchestra a household name. Because of the universal familiarity with the Miller chart, we've avoided posting video or audio of "In The Mood," unless we could do something different, or present the classic in a different, and unfamiliar way.
This video is a mashup of two versions of the song. First, you'll hear the introduction and some references to the Jeff Tyzik arrangement, popularized by Doc Severinson and the Tonight Show Band. The Forget Me Nots join the mix to bring it home with the Andrews Sisters rendition, as performed by the sisters with the Vic Shoen orchestra.
