Calala island is a private ultra-inclusive resort located in Nicaribbean (Nicaragua, on Caribbean side). Getting here is a long journey, flew from LAX to Miami to Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua; then a domestic flight to Bluefields, drive into town to get to the pier for about 2 hrs boat ride. Finally, we’ve arrived in this fantastic, beautiful island. Everything is included on your room rate: roundtrip transfer from Managua airport, 3 meals a day which are all gourmet, all drinks/beverages both alcoholic & non; various activities such as snorkelling, island hopping, fishing, cooking demo, rum tasting, excursion into Pearl Lagoon village, etc., etc.! This is now my favorite island and we’ve been to Maldive, Bora Bora, Moorea, El Nido Palawan. Must include on your bucket list.
