HOW TO PAINT NIGHTTIME WINTER LANDSCAPES with Suzanne Barrett Jutstis
In this alla prima oil painting tutorial, I will take you along on this step by step oil painting tutorial of a winter night time winter landscape with pine trees and a cabin with a deer. Painting a night time sky in a winter landscape has many fun colors, you just have to remember to keep your values close. In this time lapsed oil painting tutorial, I will take you from start to finish on this step by step painting tutorial of a night time winter landscape. I will show you that night time sky doesn't have to be black. In this painting tutorial, I will show you how to paint a night time winter sky and how to paint snow with cool purples and blues. I will also show how to add warm light from a cabin window and how it pours out onto the snow. I will also paint a whitetail doe into this winter landscape. So, you get winter sky, snow, cabin and a deer in one wintery painting!
I will go over the brushes used and the palette of colors used for this painting that will be done on a 10 x 10 gessoed panel.
