A quick video outlining what we did to save money and ease cleaning by switching our litter to wood pellets. This is a cheap alternative to expensive litters and is super easy to clean and maintain.
There are a few different types of wood pellets available including the hardwood type I use in this video, softwood which is also available in my area which I imagine is SPF, and pine wood which are available in most farming supply stores.
I also share the litter tray and sifting tray which makes a dramatic difference in the ease and speed of cleaning the boxes.
Another tip I share is how we keep odors down by using zeolite rocks and how to maintain their odor-absorbing properties.
